Update #2 · Latest ·

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to initiate a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the procurement and installation of a new barge hauling winch and foundation, and relocation of the existing winch, to include modifications to the winch foundations. The winch will be used to position a wicket lifter barge across the face of a wicket dam servicing Lock and Dam 52 on the Ohio River system, in the Louisville District.

Two pre-quotation inspections will be held to allow all prospective offerors an opportunity to inspect the barge. While attendance at an inspection is not mandatory, it is strongly recommended that prospective offerors inspect the winch and barge during one of these two sessions. More information will be provided in the solicitation.

The work required to be performed under this contract shall be physically performed onsite at Lock and Dam #52 in Brookport, IL or at a facility supplied by the offeror.
