NASA's Shared Services Center intends to issue a sole source contract to Georgia Institute of Technology for Process Safety Management training course delivery at NASA Glenn Research Center, with capabilities and qualifications due June 18, 2026 by 4:00 pm Central Standard Time.

The procurement is conducted as a commercial item acquisition under FAR Part 12 and FAR 12.102(a) sole source authority. Georgia Institute of Technology has been determined to be the sole provider of this training course at NASA Glenn Research Center. The training will be delivered at NASA Glenn Research Center's Neil A. Armstrong Test Facility in Sandusky, Ohio, during June 22–26, 2026. The course is a 4.5-day instructor-led program covering the 14 elements of Process Safety Management in compliance with OSHA regulation 29 CFR 1910.119, presented to 20 NASA Glenn employees. Deliverables include notebooks with printed presentation slides and online course materials for each attendee, a post-course assessment quiz, and completion records. Interested organizations may submit written capabilities and qualifications to determine whether the government will conduct competitive procurement. Synopsis:

NASA/NSSC has a requirement for Process Safety Management training course at NASA Glenn Research Center.. 

NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to GEORGIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY 84 5TH Street NW Atlanta, Georgia 30308-1031 United States under the authority of FAR 12.102(a). It has been determined that GEORGIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY is the sole provider of Process Safety Management training course at NASA Glenn Research Center.

NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/ Glenn Research Center (GRC).

The Government intends to acquire Commercial items or services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 for Commercial

The NAICS Code for this procurement is 611310.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:00 pm . Central Standard Time on 6/18/2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
