About this opportunity
Summary:
The Department of Justice Bureau of Prisons Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield, Missouri, intends to procure the rental of one (1) ScriptPro CRS 225 Compact Robotic System for FY25. This proposed procurement will be a sole source award under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 339112 - Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. The Government has determined that there is not a reasonable expectation of obtaining offers from two or more responsible small business concerns that are competitive in terms of price, quality, and delivery. The justification for restricting consideration to an item peculiar to one manufacturer is that these are a partial replacement of existing machines for a mission essential department, and market research indicates other companies' similar products do not meet, and cannot reasonably be modified to meet, the requirement. Vendors who believe they can meet the requirements must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer by August 9, 2024, with supporting evidence to demonstrate their ability to comply.
The contract will be unrestricted, and the current contractor is ScriptPro. The Government has not provided any information about the potential award value or budget range for this procurement. All vendors doing business with the federal government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) system.
