About this opportunity

The U.S. Department of State, specifically the U.S. Embassy in Lusaka, Zambia, is seeking a contractor to renovate multiple bathrooms and decommission a septic tank at 33T Leopards Hill Road. The renovation project involves four specific bathroom areas: the master bathroom, hallway bathroom, guest bathroom, and pool change room, with the septic tank located behind the pool change room. All potential contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to submitting a proposal, with failure to register potentially rendering their offer non-responsible. Electronic submissions are permitted, with a maximum email size of 5MB, and proposals are due by April 18, 2025. The project falls under the Commercial and Institutional Building Construction NAICS category (236220), and contractors will need to carefully review all submission requirements to ensure compliance.

The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate any specific set-aside designations for the contract, meaning it appears to be open to all qualified contractors. While the exact award value is not specified in the documentation, the project involves comprehensive bathroom renovations and septic tank decommissioning at the U.S. Embassy location. The contract performance will take place at Plot 692 Lot 100 Ibex Hill Road in Lusaka, Zambia, with the primary point of contact being Evelyn Okoth, Contracting Officer, and a secondary contact of Angela Banda, Senior Procurement Agent. Interested vendors can add or remove themselves from the interest list, though they cannot view the list of other interested parties. The solicitation suggests that technical capability, compliance with SAM registration, and ability to perform the specified renovation work will likely be key evaluation criteria for potential contractors.
