About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is seeking to procure 45 units of valve flow control components (NSN 4820016722821, Part Number 90E8412-001) through a sole source acquisition under FAR 6.302. The procurement involves critical application items with export control requirements, and the only currently approved source is Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (Cage 90099), though other manufacturers may submit complete source approval packages for consideration. The contract will be awarded as a firm fixed-price agreement with delivery required within 30 days after receipt of order to the DLA Distribution facility in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. The final contract award decision will be based on a combination of price, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. The solicitation is expected to be issued around August 13, 2025, with an anticipated closing date of September 12, 2025, and interested parties must contact the buyer directly for solicitation copies as they will not be available through the standard DLA-BSM Internet Bid Board System.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is classified as an unrestricted acquisition available to all responsible sources. Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation serves as the currently approved source and likely incumbent for this valve component requirement. While no specific contract value is provided in the notice, the procurement involves 45 units of specialized valve components that appear to be aircraft-related given the DLA Aviation's role and the critical application designation. The relatively short 30-day delivery timeline suggests this may be for urgent operational or maintenance requirements, and the use of an existing Basic Ordering Agreement indicates an established procurement relationship for this type of material.
