About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 54 units of a power supply subassembly (NSN 7H-6130-015284289-VN) with a specific technical design package (TDP VER 006). The procurement requires engineering source approval from the design control activity, emphasizing the need for unique design capabilities and specialized manufacturing/repair knowledge. Potential contractors must qualify through rigorous procedures approved by the government engineering activity responsible for the part's application. Interested parties must submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements within 45 days of the synopsis publication (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). The government retains sole discretion to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on the responses received.

This pre-solicitation notice does not include a specific set-aside designation and does not mention potential incumbent contractors or precise award values. The delivery will be FOB origin, indicating that the supplier is responsible for delivery to the specified location. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with sources under FAR 6.302-1, suggesting potential for a sole-source procurement. Contractors interested in participating must obtain necessary technical documentation through the DoD Single Stock Point, primarily using the ASSIST-Online platform or by contacting the DODSSP ASSIST Help Desk. Documents related to patterns, drawings, and deviation lists are not stocked at the standard distribution point and may require additional coordination.
