About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is procuring regulated 28 VDC power supplies (NSN 6130-01-209-9062HY, Part Number 709290-2) that provide electrical conversion and regulation for F-16 aircraft electronic components. Contractors must meet qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1, including first article testing with an evaluation cost of $13,500 per unit. The contract will be awarded as a firm fixed-price agreement based on meeting technical specifications and qualification standards, with Item Unique Identification (IUID) marking required in accordance with MIL-STD-130. The solicitation was originally issued on 26 June 2025 with a proposal response deadline of 28 July 2025, and the anticipated award date is September 2025. Offerors should contact the contracting officer David Garcia at 405-739-5501 or david.garcia.59@us.af.mil with any questions regarding the procurement requirements.

This procurement does not utilize a set-aside designation and is anticipated to be competitive, though the government has identified Symetrics Industries (CAGE 22830) as a currently qualified source under limited competition authority per FAR 6.302. The last similar procurement occurred in September 2017 to GE Aviation Systems for 6 units. The best estimated quantity for CLIN 0001 has been increased to 73 units (with a range of 19-114 units) following Amendment SPRTA1-25-R-0399-0001, along with 3 additional first article units for testing, with all items required to be delivered by 13-15 November 2026 to DLA Distribution Depot Oklahoma at Tinker Air Force Base. Contractors must comply with detailed packaging requirements per MIL-STD-129 and MIL-STD-2073-1, submit first article test reports within 180 days of contract award on ISO-10149 compliant CD-ROM in Adobe Acrobat PDF format, and coordinate transportation through DCMA prior to shipment using their Shipment Instruction Request eTool System.
