About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 13 power supply units (NSN 7H-6130-012740647) for repair, with a specific Technical Data Package (TDP) version 002. The procurement is a sole-source contract under FAR 6.302-1, with the intent to negotiate exclusively with Raytheon Company located in Marlborough, MA. The contract requires specialized test and inspection facilities to maintain ultra-precision quality and system integrity, which significantly limits potential competitors. Interested parties may submit proposals or capability statements within 45 days of the February 27, 2025 publication date (or 30 days if issued under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). The government will consider all received proposals, but retains sole discretion in determining whether to compete the contract.
The contract is not set aside for any specific business category and will be a firm-fixed price or not-to-exceed contract. Raytheon Company is the intended sole source, with a cage code of 7Y193, and will repair 13 power supply units, part number 2898032-17. The government does not own the technical data or rights needed to purchase this part from alternative sources and has determined it would be uneconomical to purchase the data rights or attempt to reverse engineer the part. Potential bidders can access solicitation details at www.neco.navy.mil, and additional technical documentation can be obtained through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) at the Document Automation and Production Service in Philadelphia, PA. Interested parties without internet access can contact the DODSSP ASSIST Help Desk for further information.
