About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 14 power supply assemblies for repair/modification, with a National Stock Number of 7H-6130-014718416. The government intends to negotiate with a single source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, indicating a potential sole-source procurement. Interested parties may submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements within 45 days of the May 7, 2025 publication date (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). Potential vendors must obtain relevant military specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point, with most documents available through ASSIST-Online. The government has determined it is uneconomical to purchase data rights or reverse engineer the part, which will impact potential competitive bidding.

The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designations for this procurement. The contract may be subject to Free Trade Agreements and Buy American Act provisions, depending on the final solicitation clauses. The procurement falls under PSC Category 6130 for Electrical, Nonrotating Converters, with a specific focus on a technical data package (TDP) version 003. Delivery is specified as FOB Origin, meaning the supplier is responsible for initial transportation. While no specific award value is mentioned, the limited quantity of 14 units suggests a relatively small-scale procurement. Potential vendors have 15 days to identify their capability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item, though the government has already determined that commercial item acquisition policies will not be used in this solicitation.
