About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure power supply and replacement parts, specifically NSN 7H-6130-016198424, with a quantity of 5 units to be delivered FOB origin. The opportunity, posted on December 18, 2024, is a pre-solicitation notice for a non-competitive contract under FAR 6.302-1, indicating the government intends to negotiate with a single source. Interested parties are required to include their CAGE code on solicitation requests and may obtain relevant technical documentation through the DoD Single Stock Point or ASSIST-Online. The government will consider proposals received within 45 days of publication (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement), with the ultimate competitive determination remaining at the government's discretion. Technical documentation and specifications can be accessed through various methods, including online resources, telephone contact, or mail request to the DLA Document Services in Philadelphia.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, and no incumbent contractors are mentioned in the documentation. While the exact award value is not specified, the procurement involves five units of a specific power supply component. The government has explicitly stated that it does not own the data or rights to the part, and has determined that purchasing or reverse engineering the data would be uneconomical. Potential contractors are invited to demonstrate their capability to satisfy the requirement, with a particular note that commercial item submissions will be considered within 15 days of the notice. The Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking a solution for a specialized electrical component, and interested vendors must carefully review the technical requirements and documentation access procedures before submitting their capabilities or proposals.
