About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is seeking contractors to perform electrical infrastructure upgrades involving the installation of a 30 KVA transformer and electrical panel replacement at Robins Air Force Base. The project requires replacing an existing 9 KVA transformer and 100-amp 208/120V electrical panel with a new suspended 30 KVA transformer and 100-amp 42-space panel, along with re-routing existing circuits to the new configuration. All work must be performed by licensed electricians after normal business hours, preferably on weekends, to minimize operational disruption and must comply with National Electrical Code, OSHA safety standards, and local electrical codes. The evaluation will be based on technical acceptability and price, with the government reviewing the three lowest-priced offers for technical compliance. Critical deadlines include site visits scheduled for July 18, 2025 and August 13, 2025, with the final quote submission deadline of August 19, 2025 at 1400 hours EST.

This solicitation does not utilize any set-aside designation and is open to all qualified businesses under NAICS code 238210 (Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors) with a size standard of $19,000,000. No incumbent contractors or specific budget ranges are mentioned in the documentation, though the contract will be awarded on a firm fixed-price basis. The project involves upgrading from a 9 KVA to a 30 KVA transformer system and installing a new 42-circuit panel, with the contractor required to provide warranties on the transformer (typically 5 years), panel components (typically 1 year), and installation workmanship (1 year). The performance period extends from August 4, 2025 to August 3, 2026, with all work to be performed at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia. Site visits are strongly encouraged for interested vendors to gain complete understanding of the technical requirements and existing facility conditions.
