About this opportunity
The U.S. Air Force Sustainment Center within the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command has issued a Sources Sought Synopsis to conduct market research for Power Duct Unit Controller repair services. This pre-solicitation notice is not an actual solicitation and no contract award will result from responses to this market research effort. The government is seeking to identify potential repair sources for Power Duct Unit Controllers and determine whether this requirement can support competition or qualify for a Small Business Set-Aside designation. The requirement falls under NAICS code 336413 for Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing and PSC code J016 for Maintenance/Repair/Rebuild of Equipment - Aircraft Components and Accessories. Interested parties have until October 14, 2025, to respond, though the government has explicitly stated that requests for the solicitation will not receive responses as no formal solicitation exists at this time.
No set-aside designation has been established for this opportunity, as the government is using this market research to determine the appropriate procurement strategy including potential Small Business Set-Aside eligibility. The notice does not identify any incumbent contractors or provide information about current service providers for these Power Duct Unit Controller repair services. No contract values, budget ranges, or funding information have been disclosed, with the government specifically noting that no funds are available to support the information being solicited through this market research. The documents do not specify quantities of units requiring repair services or establish timelines for potential service delivery. Two supporting documents have been provided - a draft Performance Work Statement and the Sources Sought Synopsis document - to assist potential respondents in understanding the technical requirements and scope of the anticipated repair services.
