About this opportunity
The Air Force Sustainment Center is seeking to procure ten Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) Portable Air Conditioning units with specific technical requirements through a small business set-aside contract. The solicitation, posted on March 12, 2025, requires interested contractors to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and operate within NAICS code 333415 with a size standard of 1,250 employees. The portable AC units must meet detailed specifications including 60,000 BTU cooling output, 208-220V voltage rating, 30-amp circuit breaker compatibility, and specific dimensional constraints such as maximum 30" width, 56" depth, and 59" height. Electronic proposals will be submitted through Beta.sam.gov, with a response deadline of March 14, 2025. The contracting specialist for this opportunity is Paula Perry, and the procurement will follow authority under 10 USC 2304 (c)(1).
The contract is designated as a total small business set-aside with a Firm Fixed Price type and an estimated performance period of 90 days after receipt of order. The specified AC units require comprehensive features including a condensate pump, temperature control panel, LED diagnostic display, washable filter, forklift pockets, and four casters with brakes. Contractors must provide fully assembled units with all relevant documentation including user manuals, specification sheets, instructions, warranty documents, and safety guides. The units must operate within a 68-degree Fahrenheit range, remove up to 2.9 gallons of moisture per hour, and include specific exhaust and airflow capabilities. While no specific award value is mentioned, the detailed technical requirements suggest a specialized procurement targeting manufacturers of commercial and industrial refrigeration equipment.
