About this opportunity
The Federal Emergency Management Agency seeks procurement of duty uniforms for the Mount Weather Police Department, with proposals due September 25. The procurement is brand name only, specifying First Tactical Defender and Responder Series uniforms in OD Green, and carries a geographic constraint: the vendor must be located within a 250-mile radius of Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center, Bluemont, Virginia.
Place of performance is Bluemont, Virginia. Required garments include men's and women's Defender shirts and pants, V2 Responder shirts, performance polo shirts with embroidered badge, TacTix System jackets, and A2 Adjustable caps, with sizing variations and custom sizing capability. All items must be new, unused, current-production stock free from defects and must meet mandatory no-melt/no-drip performance characteristics per ASTM D6413 test standard, with manufacturer documentation required. Uniforms must provide durability for extended 12-hour shifts, compatibility with duty belts and body armor, adequate breathability, professional appearance, reinforcement in high-wear areas, and suitability for repeated laundering. Item quantities range from 1 to 516 units per line item, with estimated unit costs ranging from approximately $13.57 to $464.27. The Government does not specify a total procurement price; per-item pricing will determine price reasonableness, and the contract will be issued based on available certified funding. The contractor shall deliver items within timeframes established by purchase order or contract, with partial deliveries requiring Government coordination and approval. Vendors must submit pricing quotes via email to christopher.barrow@fema.dhs.gov, specifying pricing adjustments if costs vary by size. The NAICS code is 315990, Apparel Accessories and Other Apparel Manufacturing; PSC code is 8415, Clothing, Special Purpose.
