ASTM D6413.

MWPD personnel may encounter elevated temperatures, sparks, flame, vehicle-related hazards, firearms-related hazards, or other thermal exposures during the performance of their duties. Uniform materials that melt or drip when exposed to sufficient heat may increase the potential severity of an injury.

Accordingly, no-melt/no-drip performance is considered a mandatory personnel-safety and operational requirement of this procurement.
