About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, published a Special Notice on October 2, 2025, announcing an Industry Day for the Plating Shop Renovation project at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. This project, sponsored by the U.S. Air Force, involves the comprehensive renovation of 20,000 square feet in Buildings 505 and 507 and the construction of a new 2,800-square-foot Pre-Engineered Metal Building, with an estimated construction value between $100 million and $250 million. The acquisition will be executed under a Design-Bid-Build delivery method using a Firm-Fixed-Price Single Award Task Order Contract with a 1,825-day (5-year) ordering period. The event was designed to provide interested offerors with clarity regarding government requirements, project timelines, and procurement procedures. Full and open competition applies to this opportunity, with no set-aside restrictions in place.
The purpose of the Industry Day, held on November 7, 2025, was to present upcoming project requirements and anticipated milestones while facilitating Q&A sessions on technical, schedule, and procurement matters. Key USACE personnel including the Project Manager, Technical Lead, Discipline Design Leads, Environmental Leads, and Contracting Officers were available to interact with industry representatives and conduct facility tours. Proposals for this project are due February 17, 2026, with an anticipated award date of June 18, 2026, and evaluation will employ a best value tradeoff methodology considering past performance, technical approach, schedule analysis, organizational management, and small business participation. Bonding is required at the task order level for awarded and active work only. The project modernizes industrial plating facilities to improve safety, environmental compliance, energy efficiency, and maintenance capabilities in support of Air Force aircraft readiness operations at the 309th Commodities Maintenance Group.
