About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is procuring 200 rolls of specialized polyvinylchloride plastic sheeting through solicitation SPMYM225Q2466. The required material specifications include sheets that are 72 inches wide, 0.006 inches thick, weighing 50 pounds per roll, and manufactured in medium blue color by Presco Engineered Films (part number 726BL). The plastic sheets must be mercury-free and fire retardant per NFPA Code 701 standards, with "FR" designator markings printed in half-inch white lettering approximately every nine inches along the material. For bids to be considered responsive, contractors must submit signed and completed solicitations via email to kelli.monaco@dla.mil or fax, and those implementing NIST SP 800-171 security requirements must have current assessments not more than three years old. The solicitation was posted on August 12, 2025, with quotes due by 9:00 AM on August 15, 2025.

This procurement is designated as a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 326199 (All Other Plastics Product Manufacturing), limiting competition to qualified small businesses. The contract requires delivery to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard Receiving Officer in Bremerton, Washington, with a specified delivery date of October 17, 2025. The solicitation identifies a specific manufacturer and part number (Presco Engineered Films, part number 726BL) with National Stock Number 9330-LL-S05-2348, suggesting this may be a brand name or equal procurement. Electronic quote submissions are available through the SAM.gov website, and the procurement falls under PSC category 9330 for Plastics Fabricated Materials. The tight timeframe between posting and due date indicates this is likely an urgent operational requirement for the naval facility.
