This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial service prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.603 Streamlined solicitation for commercial products or commercial services, and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
The solicitation number is 12405B22Q0078 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The associated NAICS Code is 325414 Biological Product (except Diagnostic) Manufacturing. This solicitation document incorporates those provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-04.
Description of Work:
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agriculture Research Service, Southern Regional Research Center, New Orleans, LA location has a requirement for PepStar peptide microarrays - arrays printing (further arrays of batch). 3286 peptide synthesis and spotting on 400 glass slides for screening with antibodies, allergic human sera. Proprietary immobilization techniques to produce peptide microarrays on glass or plastic surfaces. The peptides are pre‐synthesized and essentially affinity purified (in contrast to in situ synthesis directly on the surface). They are then immobilized covalently via a long hydrophilic linker. Microarrays are produced in a standard slide format compatible with "normal" scanners. A low volume of assay solution is needed for each microarray experiment. Incubations of glass slides can be performed with very low amounts of fluorescently labelled proteins or antibodies.
