About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal is soliciting post-deployment build software maintenance and engineering support services for the PATRIOT Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) Software Task covering Years 9 and 10. The scope of work encompasses logistics engineering, software support, obsolescence monitoring and analysis, engineering functional support, cybersecurity, configuration management support, and program management support for the PAC-3 Missile Segment. The Government has determined that Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is the only source capable of performing this effort due to its exclusive knowledge, expertise, and possession of the full disclosure technical data package required for contract performance. The procurement is being conducted as a sole-source acquisition under FAR Part 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A) and (B), with the justification that the Government does not possess the necessary intellectual property rights to permit full and open competition. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on April 7, 2026, with a deadline for comments and questions due by April 24, 2026.
This procurement includes no set-aside designations and identifies Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, located at 1701 West Marshall Drive, Grand Prairie, Texas 75051 (CAGE code 64059), as the anticipated contractor. The contract effort is classified under NAICS 541330 (Engineering Services) and PSC J014 (Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuild of Equipment—Guided Missiles). While the pre-solicitation notice does not specify an explicit award value or budget range, the contract is structured for a two-year performance period (Years 9 and 10), suggesting continuation of an existing program with anticipated ongoing operational requirements. Inquiries regarding this opportunity should be directed to James S. Casper, Contracting Officer at Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, via email at james.s.casper3.civ@army.mil.
