About this opportunity
The United States Embassy in Quito, Ecuador is seeking to procure various electrical panels and circuit breakers for generator installations. The solicitation, issued by the Department of State, requires vendors to supply new, unopened electrical equipment including panel boards, main breaker kits, and circuit breakers from manufacturers like Siemens and Square D. The government intends to award the contract to the lowest-priced technically acceptable offeror, potentially without further discussions, resulting in a firm fixed-price contract. Potential vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to submitting their proposal. All questions regarding the solicitation must be submitted via email to quitoprocurement@state.gov by June 10, 2025, with final quotations due by 5:00 p.m. local time on June 20, 2025.
The solicitation is not set aside for any specific category of business and covers multiple electrical components across 15 line items, with quantities ranging from 2 to 15 units per item. The total procurement will be delivered to the US Embassy's warehouse in Quito, Ecuador, with a delivery deadline of August 15, 2025. The procurement falls under the NAICS category of Electric Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution and the PSC category of Engine Electrical System Components. Payment terms include credit options of 30-45 days after delivery or immediate credit card payment upon delivery. While no specific award value is mentioned, the comprehensive list of electrical components suggests a potentially significant equipment procurement for generator panel infrastructure at the embassy.
