About this opportunity
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has issued a Sole Source Justification Notice for leasing eight Travel Trailer pads at the 116 Church St RV Park in Perry, Florida to provide temporary housing for disaster survivors from Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The contract, awarded on May 12, 2025, is structured as an 18-month Direct Housing Assistance Program under the Stafford Act, with a base period of six months and two additional six-month options. Market research was conducted by contacting ten potential vendors to ensure fair pricing, with the contract to be funded by Disaster Relief Funds for disaster recovery numbers 4828DR-FL and 4834DR-FL during fiscal years 2025 and 2026. The sole source justification was based on limited regional vendors and the critical need to house disaster survivors close to their original sites. While the specific vendor was not disclosed, the contract (70FBR425P00000144) will provide temporary housing units beginning April 29, 2025, with the lease period potentially extending until October 2026 depending on Congressional extensions.
