About this opportunity
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has issued a Sole Source Justification Notice for leasing two travel trailer lots/pads at Gulf Breeze Mobile Home Park in Clearwater, Florida, to provide temporary housing for disaster survivors of Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The contract (70FBR425P00000111) is designed to support disaster relief efforts under the Stafford Act, with an initial base period of three months starting February 2024 and potential extension options that could extend the total performance period to 18 months. Market research was conducted on October 25, 2024, involving outreach to ten potential vendors to establish fair pricing, with funding sourced from Disaster Relief Funds for DR-4828-FL and DR-4834-FL across fiscal years 2025 and 2026. The sole source justification is predicated on the urgent need to secure housing for disaster survivors and the limited availability of suitable pad locations. While the specific vendor was not named in the document, the contract represents a critical component of FEMA's direct housing assistance program, with the goal of providing temporary housing solutions for affected populations in Pinellas County, Florida.
