About this opportunity
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) is procuring Integrated Air Data Inertial Reference Unit (I-ADIRU) Updates to support the latest configuration of the flight deck system for the P-8A Poseidon aircraft. This procurement will be conducted on an other than full and open competition basis under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, which allows for non-competitive awards when only one responsible source exists and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The contract will be awarded to The Boeing Company, which is identified as the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the P-8A aircraft with the specialized knowledge necessary to perform these updates and retrofits in a timely and cost-effective manner. No specific evaluation criteria have been detailed in this pre-solicitation notice, as the procurement is designated for a single source. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on November 21, 2025, with an initial response deadline of December 6, 2025, though this deadline applies to interested subcontractors seeking opportunities rather than competing prime contractors.
This procurement has been designated with no set-aside provisions. The Boeing Company, located at P.O. Box 3707, Seattle, Washington 98124-2207, is the identified incumbent and sole anticipated awardee for this contract effort. The pre-solicitation notice does not specify the contract value, budget range, or the quantity of I-ADIRU units requiring updates, nor does it provide a specific timeline for completion of the retrofit activities. Companies interested in pursuing subcontracting opportunities under this Boeing-led contract should direct inquiries to Ms. Larisa Ivanov at larisa.ivanov@boeing.com. The procurement falls under NAICS Code 336413 (Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing) and PSC Code 1680 (Miscellaneous Aircraft Accessories and Components).
