About this opportunity
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division is seeking Oxygen Equipment School Support services for military and civilian personnel training in oxygen equipment calibration and cleaning. The Department of the Navy is soliciting capability statements from qualified vendors to provide nine Oxygen Equipment Calibration and Cleaning training courses at the Naval Technical Training Center Corry Station in Pensacola, Florida. Potential contractors must have instructors with specific qualifications, including Navy Enlisted Classification as certified instructors, Instrumentman (A) School training, and specific oxygen equipment certifications. The pre-solicitation notice requires interested parties to submit a capability statement by May 8, 2025, via email to Colin Dwyer. While this is currently a pre-solicitation notice and not a formal request for quote, the government is exploring the possibility of setting aside the contract for small businesses or conducting a full and open competition.
The contract is structured with a base year from December 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026, and an optional extension year from December 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027. Currently, no specific award value has been disclosed, and the contract will be awarded as a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) arrangement. The training program includes an option for two additional classes beyond the initial nine, with strict requirements for instructor qualifications and classroom management. A safety observer is mandated for classes with a student-to-instructor ratio exceeding 2:1. The procurement falls under the NAICS category of Technical and Trade Schools (61151) and the Product Service Code U099 for Education/Training services. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted, and the government emphasizes that submission of capability statements is voluntary and no financial responsibility will be assumed for any costs incurred by potential contractors.
