About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command is seeking information from firms experienced in designing and installing overhead cranes with the Navy Crane Center. Specifically, the agency requires a firm to design and install five replacement 2-ton bridge cranes along existing rails and upgrade one crane from 2 to 3 tons within 12 months at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and IMF. The firm must also be capable of removing and disposing of five existing bridge cranes. Interested parties must submit a capability statement of no more than six pages including company information and CAGE code by April 23, 2021. Capability statements will be evaluated based on the firm's experience designing and installing cranes for the Navy.
There is no set-aside designated for this pre-solicitation notice. Responding firms must have at least five years of experience performing similar crane design, installation, removal and disposal services. No incumbent is named and no budget or value is provided, though the work must be completed within 12 months of award.

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.
Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and IMF (PHNSY&IMF) is searching for firms who has five years experience in designing and installing cranes with Navy Crane Center.
The qualified firms shall be able to design and install five replacement 2-Ton bridge crane over exisiting rails within 12 months. One of the crane shall be upgraded from 2-Ton to 3-Ton. The firm is also be responsible of removing and disposing of the the existing bridge cranes.
All interested and qualified firms shall submit a capability statement, limited to six pages, to the POC listed below. The capability statement shall also include the following information:
- Company POC
- POC Contact Phone and Email
- CAGE Code
- Business Size
As part of the market research, this Sources Sought willl assists in determination if an adequate number of qualified interested contractors capable of providing the requirement exists. The Government may use the responses to this Sources Sought for information and planning purposes.
This Sources Sought is only for the purpose of identifying potential sources as part of the market research. No Request For Quote (RFQ) exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the RFQ.
Responses to this Sources Sought are not quotes so no contract can be issued. This Sources Sought is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not itself constitute a RFQ. The Government does not intend to award a contract based only on responses to this Sources Sought.
All information received in response to this Sources Sought marked "Proprietary" will be protected and handled accordingly. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response.
Responses to the Sources Sought will not be returned. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this Sources Sought. The government will not pay for information received in response to this Sources Sought.
