About this opportunity
The Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City is seeking a repair contract for F100-220/229 8th Stage Stators, which are specialized aircraft engine components. This is a sole source, non-commercial acquisition targeted at qualified sources in the aircraft engine parts manufacturing sector. The contemplated contract will be a firm-fixed price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) agreement with a five-year performance period supporting both United States Air Force and Foreign Military Sales customers. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be pre-approved sources in accordance with FAR 52.209-1 Qualification Requirements, and are encouraged to submit Source Approval Requests (SARs) as soon as possible. The government is not obligated to delay contract award to review pending SARs and will retain submissions for potential future awards. The pre-solicitation was posted on June 2, 2025, with responses due by June 16, 2025, though the actual contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds.
The contract has no specific set-aside designation and is currently anticipated to be awarded to Raytheon Technologies Corporation DBA Pratt and Whitney Eagle Supply Aftermarket Services. The solicitation covers three specific National Stock Number (NSN) 8th Stage Stators with varying minimum and maximum quantities: NSN 2840-01-367-4826NZ (Min 5, Max 1485), NSN 2840-01-367-4825NZ (Min 5, Max 1485), and NSN 2840-01-367-4827NZ (Min 5, Max 795). While precise award values are not specified, the multi-year IDIQ structure suggests significant potential contract volume. An Ombudsman is available at (405) 736-3273 to address potential offeror concerns during the proposal development phase. The contract's financial commitment is explicitly tied to future fund availability, with the government's legal liability contingent on funds being appropriated and confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer.
