About this opportunity
The Department of Defense Washington Headquarters Service has issued a Special Notice regarding bridge contract extensions for the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (OUSD(I&S)) I&S Enterprise. This notice, posted on July 17, 2025, with a due date of July 21, 2025, announces the agency's intent to award sole source contract extensions to two incumbent contractors. The notice explicitly states it is not a request for quotes or proposals, but rather a notification of planned procurement actions. The extensions are being processed under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation provisions that allow for sole source awards under specific circumstances.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to provide advance notification of the agency's intent to award ten-month bridge contracts to maintain continuity of services currently being performed under expiring contracts. Two contractors will receive extensions: Sancorp Consulting, LLC will receive an extension under FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A) for being the only responsible source, while Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. will receive an extension under FAR 8.405-6 for limiting sources. Both bridge contracts are scheduled to run from July 28, 2025, to May 27, 2026, immediately following the conclusion of current services on July 27, 2025. Since these are sole source awards to incumbent contractors, no eligibility criteria or participation opportunities exist for other contractors. The notice serves as a transparency measure required under FAR 5.203(a) to inform the contracting community of the government's procurement intentions.
