The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of Orthotic and Prosthetic Services for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Complex located in Butner, North Carolina.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621399 (Size Standard: $7,500,000). This solicitation is being issued as small business set aside. Faith-based and Community-based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
The Government contemplates awarding of an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contracts with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from this solicitation. The contract period shall consist of a 12 month base period with four 12 month option periods for renewal.
The solicitation will be made available on or about August 9, 2018 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site.
Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. The website for registration is www.sam.gov. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY - Solicitations are not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for Orthotic & Prosthetic practitioner services for the inmate population at the Federal Medical Center Butner, located in Butner, NC. All duties shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the industry and in compliance with all Federal and State policies and regulations. The contractor will provide general experience and professional certification in accordance with the Statement of Work. The Government contemplates awarding of an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contracts with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from the future solicitation. The contract period shall consist of a 12 month base period with four 12 month option periods for renewal. The Government anticipates requiring 72 sessions (a session is defined as one hour) per performance period to include the work requirements - A. Technical Requirements defined in the statement of work. A Government solicitation document to provide these services is being developed, and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All future information about this acquisition, including the solicitation and/or amendments, will be distributed solely through this site.
