Amendment 1 - REMODEL OFFICES IN HEADQUARTERS BUILDING, OREGON CAVES NATIONAL MONUMENT & PRESERVE, JOSEPHINE COUNTY, OREGON

The purpose of this amendment is to add an Option for additional work consisting of moving duplex receptacles and CAT 5/6 outlets to the new partition walls. Revised Bid Schedule and Specification documents are attached. Changes are in bold font.

The National Park Service has a requirement for five new offices to be constructed in the Oregon Caves National Monument & Preserve headquarters building, located in Josephine County, Oregon. The offices will replace cubicle-style workspaces. The work includes framing new interior walls, drywall, insulation, paint, texture and doors. Some relocation of HVAC vents, sprinklers and light fixtures will be required. There will be an option for new kitchen cabinetry in the breakroom.

Per the general price ranges in FAR 36.204, the project range is estimated to be between $25,000 and $100,000.

The North American Standard Industrial Classifications System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 236220, with a corresponding size standard of $39.5 million in annual gross receipts for the past three years.

This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Offers are solicited only from small business concerns. Offers received from concerns that are not small business concerns shall not be considered. The contractor selected for award must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) website at https://www.sam.gov/.

The Request for Quotes (RFQ) can be downloaded along with all related attachments from the Contract Opportunities section of the website https://beta.sam.gov/. The RFQ will close 30 days from the actual date of issuance. The Contractor is responsible for periodically checking the website for any Amendments that may be issued prior to the closing date of the RFQ.

The Government intends to award a single, fixed price contract. Award selection will be made on a Best Value determination made after consideration of price and factors other than price as listed in the Request for Quotes (RFQ).

See Section L of the RFQ for Site Visit information. While not required, a Site Visit is highly recommended.
