About this opportunity

The Naval Supply Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound, acting on behalf of Ship Repair Facility - Japan Regional Maintenance Center Detachment in Yokosuka, Japan, is seeking on-site contractor support for maintenance and repair of Low Pressure Air Compressors (LPAC) Numbers 1-3 aboard an LSD Class Naval Vessel. The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command will utilize FAR Part 12 and 13.5 procedures to award a commercial, firm fixed-price supply contract. A critical qualification requirement mandates that offerors must be recognized as qualified activities to work on STAR 200 LPACs by NAVSEA, and contractors must maintain active registration in the System Award Management (SAM) database throughout the procurement and contract performance periods. The formal solicitation N0040625RS010 will be posted on sam.gov on approximately June 26, 2025, with proposals due on or about July 2, 2025. All inquiries and proposal submissions must be directed electronically to the designated contracting officer, with no telephone or fax requests accepted.

This procurement operates under a no set-aside designation, making it available to all responsible sources capable of meeting the technical requirements. The opportunity does not identify any incumbent contractors or specific award value ranges in the pre-solicitation notice. The scope encompasses maintenance and repair services for three specific LPAC units on a single LSD Class vessel, indicating a focused, vessel-specific requirement rather than a fleet-wide contract. Prospective contractors bear full responsibility for monitoring sam.gov for the solicitation release and any subsequent amendments, as the government will not provide hard-copy documents or accept alternative submission methods. The compressed timeline between solicitation release and proposal submission suggests this may be an urgent operational requirement for the Japan-based naval facility.
