About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command is procuring Traffic Logix speed monitoring equipment for the 55th Security Forces Squadron at Offutt Air Force Base to enhance traffic enforcement and driver/pedestrian safety on base. The procurement includes two SafePace Cruiser LT Speed Cart Trailers, two Universal Mounting Bracket Systems, four 15" Safe Pace Evolution 15SD Solar Portable Radar Signs, two 12" Evolution FM Speed Message Signs, and SafePace Cloud Service for managing up to six devices. This requirement addresses both replacement of equipment damaged in a recent windstorm and expansion of the squadron's traffic enforcement capabilities, as the current mission uses speed measuring carts to augment traffic enforcement patrols at dangerous intersections and walkways. Vendors will be evaluated on technical capability and price, with the government intending to award without discussions. The solicitation response deadline is September 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM CST, and vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).
This procurement is set aside for small businesses under NAICS Code 339950 (Sign Manufacturing), with Traffic Logix identified as the single source brand name system that the Security Forces Squadron is currently trained to use. The specific quantities include two trailers, two large solar radar signs, four portable radar signs with solar capabilities, and cloud access renewals for six devices, all requiring delivery by November 20, 2025. Performance will take place at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, specifically at the 55 SFS SFTR facility located at 305 Butler Blvd Building 1300. The procurement documentation indicates this is a combined synopsis/solicitation under a Request for Quote (RFQ) format, with the single source justification reflecting the squadron's existing training and system compatibility requirements. The equipment specifications require extensive weatherproofing capabilities, solar power systems, and Bluetooth/cloud management functionality for comprehensive traffic monitoring and data collection.

Update #3 · Latest ·
The use of speed monitoring carts enhances traffic enforcement and driver/pedestrian safety on base, particularly in dangerous intersections and walkways. This is not a new mission requirement, as civilian law enforcement agencies and Security Forces units throughout the last 20 years have used speed measuring carts to augment their traffic enforcement patrols. The SFS has two Traffic Logix speed Carts, one of which was damaged during a recent wind storm and is in need of replacement parts. In addition, due to the demand of enforcement and needs of the Installation, the SFS is adding additional radar traffic signs/carts to their enforcement capabilities.
