About this opportunity
The General Services Administration (GSA) Public Buildings Service Region 9 is seeking to lease office space for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) located at Burbank Airport in California. The government requires a minimum of 4,292 ANSI/BOMA office area with two adjacent parking spaces, specifically on airport property and in a contiguous configuration. All services, supplies, utilities, partitioning, and tenant alterations must be included in the rental consideration. Interested parties must submit location proposals for inspection by January 17, 2025, and any submissions from non-property owners must include a permission letter from the property owner. Expressions of interest should be sent to katria.olbes@gsa.gov, with the agency planning to award the lease using other than full and open competition for a succeeding lease that is currently expiring.
This pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designations for the contract, suggesting it is open to standard competitive bidding. The lease appears to be a direct renewal or replacement of an existing TSA lease, with precise space requirements of exactly 4,292 square feet of rentable space. While no specific budget range is provided, the lease will cover office space and parking at Burbank Airport, with all associated services integrated into the rental cost. The contract timeline suggests an imminent transition, with the current lease expiring and a new lease to be awarded soon after the January 17, 2025 submission deadline. The procurement approach of using other than full and open competition implies potential preference for the current or a specific property owner.
