About this opportunity
The Naval Sea Systems Command has published a Special Notice announcing two concurrent industry events hosted by the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division, Keyport. The events include a general NUWC Division Keyport Industry Day and a specialized Technical Insertion Hardware (TIH) 28/30/32 Industry Day, both scheduled for August 6, 2025, at the Naval Undersea Museum in Keyport, Washington. The Notice was posted on June 30, 2025, with a due date of August 5, 2025, and does not specify any set-aside designation. The dual-purpose event runs from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM and is designed to engage industry partners in understanding the command's mission and identifying collaboration opportunities. Contact information is provided for both events, with David Walz serving as the point of contact for the general Industry Day and Lesley Grafe or Kathleen Harrigan for TIH-related inquiries.
The primary objective of these industry events is to provide contractors with comprehensive insights into NUWC Division Keyport's organizational structure, long-term procurement projections, and acquisition strategies while facilitating networking opportunities with technical personnel. The TIH 28/30/32 component focuses specifically on next-generation hardware procurement for submarine Combat Control Systems (BYG-1) and Sonar shipsets, targeting multiple submarine classes including SSBN, 688/688i, VIRGINIA Class, COLLINS Class, COLUMBIA Class, and future platforms. The anticipated hardware components encompass computer processing and memory systems, data storage and extraction capabilities, input/output interfaces, and virtualization implementation. Contractors interested in participating must register through a provided link, and procurement opportunities may include upgrade kits, enclosures, and complete systems for various submarine platforms. The event structure includes morning sessions covering organizational overviews in the Jack Murdock Museum Auditorium, followed by afternoon networking sessions and specialized TIH presentations, with a final agenda to be released prior to the event.
