About this opportunity
The United States Marine Corps, specifically the Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island (MCRDPI), is seeking a licensed wildlife control contractor to provide comprehensive nuisance animal control services. The contract will cover emergency response for managing wildlife, including alligators, snakes, bats, birds, and mammals within the depot's boundaries. Key contract requirements include 24/7 emergency response with a one-hour call response time, two annual training sessions for depot personnel, and submission of quarterly and year-end reports. Potential contractors must demonstrate their capabilities through a contractor capabilities statement, provide their CAGE code and DUNS number, and confirm their small business status under the NAICS code 813312. The source sought synopsis is open from May 30, 2025, to June 6, 2025, with interested vendors required to register in the System for Award Management and potentially provide GSA/FSS contract information if applicable.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside for the contract, meaning it is open to all qualified vendors. The contract period will run from June 2025 to June 2026, covering a full annual cycle of wildlife management at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot. Contractors will be responsible for humanely handling, capturing, and potentially relocating or euthanizing wildlife while adhering to strict safety protocols and federal and state wildlife protection regulations. The scope of work involves managing natural resources, supporting the training mission's continuity, and mitigating human-wildlife interactions. While specific award values are not disclosed in the documentation, the contract will require comprehensive wildlife management services, specialized equipment, and expertise in handling various wildlife species, including protected animals like American alligators and Eastern diamondback rattlesnakes.
