About this opportunity

The Securities and Exchange Commission intends to award a sole source purchase order to Refinitiv US LLC for a subscription to merger and acquisition data. The SEC requires this data in a format compatible with its systems to support its regulatory mission.

Specifically, Refinitiv US LLC will provide a subscription to data involving merger and acquisition disclosures and rumors for companies with securities traded in U.S. markets. The SEC will award a fixed-price purchase order estimated below the FAR threshold on January 25, 2024, with a base period of 12 months and four 12-month option periods. While this will be a sole source award to Refinitiv, the SEC is accepting input until December 18, 2023, from any parties that can meet the requirement or propose alternatives. The Special Notice provides details to support the SEC's need to easily ingest timely M&A data into its internal systems to fulfill its regulatory responsibilities.

Notice text

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to use the procedures of FAR Part 13.501(a) to award a fixed-price purchase order on a sole source basis to Refinitiv US LLC for subscription to data on merger and or acquisition disclosures and rumors involving companies with securities traded in U.S. markets.    The SEC requires that the data be provided through a mechanism that allows easy ingestion of the data into SEC systems.   Refinitiv US LLC is the only known source that has a subscription product that meets all of the data requirements in the format required by the SEC.
