About this opportunity
The Securities and Exchange Commission has published a Special Notice announcing its intent to award a sole source contract modification to Meltwater News US Inc. under existing Contract No. 50310224P0036. The modification will enhance the current Media Intelligence Platform Subscription by adding daily curated media briefings and Bloomberg News Full-Text for use within newsletters. The SEC plans to award this modification on or around September 19, 2025, with the contract period aligning with Option Year 1 from October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026. The total estimated value will remain below the dollar threshold specified in FAR 13.5 for the Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This action represents a within-scope modification to an existing media intelligence services contract.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform the contracting community of the SEC's intention to proceed with a sole source award based on the determination that only one source is reasonably available to meet the agency's specific requirements. While this is not a competitive solicitation, interested parties may submit responses by September 16, 2025, to demonstrate their interest and capability to perform the required work. Any submissions must show the ability to perform the specific in-scope services without disrupting existing contract performance. The modification is being awarded under simplified acquisition procedures for commercial items, specifically citing FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) and FAR 13.501(a)(1)(iii) as the contracting authority. Contractors responding must be capable of providing media intelligence platform services with the additional features of daily curated briefings and Bloomberg News integration. The notice emphasizes that no competitive solicitation will be issued for this requirement.
