About this opportunity

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has published a Special Notice announcing its intent to award a single source purchase order to Municipal Market Analytics (MMA), located in Concord, Massachusetts. The SEC requires access to Municipal Market Analytics publications and has determined that MMA is the only source that can reasonably meet this requirement under Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 13.106-1(b). The agency intends to award the fixed-price purchase order to MMA on or about July 28, 2025. The contract structure includes one base year with four one-year option periods. This notice serves as formal notification of the SEC's single source procurement approach rather than a competitive solicitation.

The primary purpose of this Special Notice is to inform the contracting community of the SEC's intent to proceed with a non-competitive award while providing an opportunity for potential contractors to demonstrate their capabilities. Interested parties who believe they can meet the SEC's requirements must submit clear and convincing documentation of their capabilities by July 11, 2025. The notice explicitly states that responses must demonstrate the contractor's ability to provide the required municipal market analytics publications and services. While this is not a request for competitive proposals, the SEC will consider responses from qualified sources who can conclusively prove their ability to fulfill the requirement. The government retains full discretion in determining whether to proceed with the single source award or consider alternative sources based on any responses received.
