About this opportunity
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), operating under the Department of the Navy, issued this Special Notice on March 23, 2026, to communicate revised estimated award schedules for three Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Availability contracts. The notice addresses anticipated delays in contract awards for three naval vessels: USS WICHITA (LCS 13), USS TRUXTUN (DDG 103), and USS SAN ANTONIO (LPD 17). These contracts cover fiscal year 2026 maintenance and modernization work, including Dull Ship Restricted Availability (DSRA), Deployment Maintenance Period (DMP), and Selected Restricted Availability (SRA) services. The notice applies to the shipbuilding and repairing industry sector and is not restricted to any specific set-aside category.
The primary purpose of this notice is to inform potential offerors that all three contract awards are now estimated to occur on or about March 27, 2026, due to unforeseen delays in fund appropriation. While these dates represent current estimates, they remain subject to change pending final funding availability. No response to this notice is required from interested contractors, and all original solicitation terms and conditions remain in effect unless modified by formal amendment. Contractors should continue monitoring SAM.gov for any additional updates and direct questions regarding the solicitations to the respective Procuring Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist. The Navy has reaffirmed its commitment to these requirements and appreciation for the industrial base's continued partnership and patience throughout the delay.
