About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Test Center issued a Notice of Intent to Sole Source a Trimble GNSS Base Station Package to Vectors Inc. with a deadline for capability statements of June 30, 2026. No set-aside applies. The Air Force intends to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) on the basis that only one source is reasonably available. The required package comprises one Trimble Alloy GNSS Receiver, one Zephyr Geodetic 3 Antenna, two Trimble TDL450B Typhoon Radios, firmware upgrades, cabling, hardware, and documentation, with delivery required within 120 days after receipt of order.

Trimble brand-name equipment is required to ensure interoperability and compatibility with existing Government equipment and infrastructure at Holloman Air Force Base. The equipment supports the Holloman High Speed Test Track, which uses rocket-powered sled trains for test and evaluation. Use of alternative manufacturer equipment would require replacement of existing compatible systems, software and licensing changes, and retraining, resulting in substantial duplication of cost and unacceptable delay. Vectors Inc. is the only known authorized Trimble Geospatial distributor for the New Mexico territory capable of providing the required equipment.

Although this notice is not a request for competitive quotations or solicitation, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement demonstrating the ability to provide the required new Trimble GNSS Base Station Package and current authorization to provide Trimble Geospatial equipment for the New Mexico territory. Capability statements must include company name, UEI/CAGE code, business size, and authorization documentation.
