About this opportunity

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source firm fixed-price contract to the University of Georgia Research Foundation (UGRF) for one (1) year of access to the SER-CAT Beamline at the Advanced Photon Source (APS) for remote access data collection. The APS is the only facility where CDC currently has a user agreement in place to allow staff access for data collection, and it offers the brightest beam and most advanced technology for macromolecular crystallography in the USA. This sole source contract is being pursued under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(l). Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes, which will be considered by the government, but this is not a request for competitive quotations.

This procurement is not set aside for any specific program. The CDC is the only potential incumbent, as they currently have a user agreement in place for access to the APS. No award value or budget range is provided in the pre-solicitation notice. The notice specifies that interested parties should submit their responses or quotes via email to the contract specialist within 15 days of the issuance of the notice.
