About this opportunity

This Special Notice was published by the U.S. Department of Energy's National Energy Technology Laboratory regarding their intent to award a sole source purchase order to Swagelok/SNW Tec LLC. The notice aims to procure fittings, adapters, valves, tubing and other components from Swagelok that are required to ensure compatibility with an existing emissions and bioenergy characterization test rig system used at NETL.

The notice describes that NETL requires the parts to be warranted for compatibility with existing NETL systems and to ensure accurate research and test results. It is considered a sole source to SNW Tec because, based on market research conducted, Swagelok is the confirmed sole source service provider for these exact components. Interested parties who believe they can meet NETL's requirement must provide evidence of their capability to the purchasing agent by February 24, 2024. A determination not to compete this requirement based on responses is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will only be considered to determine if a competitive procurement is necessary.

Notice text

No known potential alternate sources exist which could satisfy NETL's requirement.

This notice of intent is not a request for quote/proposal. Any interested party that believes it is capable of meeting the NETL requirement described herein may identify themselves and must provide evidence of their capability to fulfill the requirement being requested by 4:00 PM ET on February 24, 2024.
