About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), on behalf of the U.S. Air Force 59th Medical Wing, has published a Notice of Intent to Sole Source a new contract to the University of Colorado. The special notice outlines the government's plan to award a sole source contract for a follow-on Phase II requirement to develop evidence-based approaches to treat, monitor, and manage brain injuries, particularly in deployed and prolonged care settings.

The main objectives of this effort are to determine if intravenous administration of tatM2NX after traumatic brain injury (TBI) will improve neurological severity score, memory function, reduce neuronal cell death, and assess pharmacokinetics and general safety. The government states the University of Colorado is the only source capable of providing the required R&D services under NAICS code 541714. Any other sources capable of providing these services must respond in writing with clear evidence of their capabilities by the due date of May 6, 2024. If no responses are received, the contract will be awarded without further notice.
