About this opportunity
The Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Weapon Systems Support (WSS) has issued a Notice of Intent to Sole Source dated April 8, 2026, for repair services related to a Circuit Card Assembly (NIIN 015295211). This special notice, published by the Department of the Navy, indicates the Government's intent to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, as the Government does not possess or cannot provide the necessary data to repair or manufacture the specified item. The notice explicitly states that the Government lacks the technical capability to perform these repairs through any source other than VERTEX MODERNIZATION AND SUSTAINMENT LLC. Contractors interested in this opportunity are invited to submit capability statements to demonstrate their interest and qualifications. All responses must be received within 15 days of publication to be considered by the Government.
Interested contractors must submit responses by April 15, 2026, and should contact Sarah Haley, Contracting Specialist, at sarah.r.haley2.civ@us.navy.mil for additional information. The solicitation seeks quotations for teardown, evaluation, repair, and/or modification services for 60 units of the circuit card assembly, with a required repair turnaround time of 67 days from receipt to asset acceptance. Contractors must provide unit pricing, total pricing, and their facility's turnaround time if different from the Government requirement, along with pricing for teardown and evaluation fees if items are determined Beyond Repair or Beyond Economic Repair. All responsive sources may participate, though contractors not currently approved as sources must submit a Source Approval Request package with their proposal, with detailed information available at https://www.navsup.navy.mil/public/navsup/business_opps/. The RFQ is not limited to small businesses, and award will not be delayed pending source approval.
