About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Air Systems Command, through Commander Fleet Readiness Centers Procurement Group at Patuxent River, Maryland, issued a notice of intent to sole-source a purchase order to Viavi Systems (CAGE 6UW26) for test, evaluation, and repair services on six Avionics Ramp Test Sets for the IFR 6000 platform, with a capability statement submission deadline of May 18, 2026. The sole-source justification rests on Viavi Systems' status as the original equipment manufacturer for the IFR 6000 and the only known source capable of delivering the required test, evaluation, and repair services to meet operational and reliability requirements without component modifications. Although this is not a competitive solicitation, all responsible sources may submit capability statements within three calendar days of publication for the Government's consideration in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement; the Government retains discretion to abandon the sole-source approach based on responses received. The COMFRC Aviation Support Equipment facility at Solomons, Maryland requires the services. Direct inquiries to Jenna Lang at Jenna.l.lang2.civ@us.navy.mil.
