About this opportunity
This Special Notice announces the 341st Contracting Squadron at Malmstrom Air Force Base's intent to award a sole source contract to Mid Mountain Boiler & Steam. The notice was published by the Department of the Air Force Global Strike Command on January 9, 2024.
The Special Notice aims to sole source a contract to Mid Mountain Boiler & Steam for heat plant buckstay tube repair services at Malmstrom Air Force Base. Interested parties must identify their capabilities to meet the repair requirement by January 23, 2024 and provide evidence that competition would benefit the government. Mid Mountain previously completed similar work at the base in 2022 and 2023, giving them expertise in the heat plant system. The repair is necessary as the plant is currently operating at only 66% capacity, and delays could increase the risk of plant failure affecting heating to 70 buildings. The work will be awarded under NAICS code 238220 for specialty trade contractors who perform repair and maintenance on heating and air conditioning systems. No costs will be reimbursed for responding to the notice.
