About this opportunity
The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), a Defense Department component, has issued a Special Notice of Intent to Sole Source a 12-month contract extension to Raytheon Company for Global Service Proxy (GSP) II Bridge support services. The procurement is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, which permits sole-source contracting when circumstances warrant. The current GSP II Bridge contract (HM047622C0008) is scheduled to expire on July 17, 2026, and this extension will bridge operations until a follow-on contract can be competitively procured and potentially transitioned to a new vendor. This Special Notice was posted on February 12, 2026, and is published in accordance with FAR Subpart 5.2 to provide market awareness of the intended procurement action.
The extension will support continued Operations and Sustainment (O&S) and Development activities for the GSP system and is structured as a six-month initial period with an optional six-month option period. Although NGA does not intend to conduct a competitive solicitation at this time, responsible sources that believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit a detailed capability statement with supporting evidence demonstrating their ability to perform the work by the February 27, 2026 due date. The Government retains sole discretion to determine whether to compete the procurement based on responses received to this notice. Interested contractors should be aware that no formal solicitation will be posted, and this notice does not constitute a request for competitive proposals.
