About this opportunity
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Office of Acquisition and Grant Services has published a Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract to the Georgia Drug and Narcotics Agency (GDNA) for investigative services. This is not a competitive solicitation but rather a notice informing the market of the FDA's intent to proceed with a noncompetitive award. The contract will be classified under NAICS code 922120 (Police Protection) and will operate under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(5). The notice was posted on March 31, 2026, and provides interested parties with an opportunity to demonstrate their capability before the final award decision is made. The FDA retains sole discretion regarding whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses received.
The investigative services contract will span twelve months from the date of award. Interested contractors must submit a capability statement via email to Nina.Montgomery@fda.hhs.gov by April 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time, which represents a seven-calendar-day response window from the notice publication. There are no specific set-aside requirements associated with this opportunity, and there are no stated eligibility restrictions beyond the ability to meet the Government's investigative requirements. Contractors should note that submission of a capability statement does not obligate the Government to reimburse any associated costs and that the decision to compete the contract remains entirely within the Government's discretion. This notice serves as a preliminary announcement rather than a formal request for proposals.
