About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Edgewood Division announced on August 19, 2026 a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract to Aptagen, LLC for custom synthesis, purification, quality control, and delivery of DNA, RNA, and peptide aptamers supporting U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Chemical Biological Center diagnostic assay development, biosensor research, and chemical/biological defense platforms. The Army considers Aptagen the only vendor capable of meeting the technical requirement: aptamers must undergo denaturing Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis (dPAGE) purification; standard HPLC or cartridge purification is unacceptable. Deliveries must include Double-Tier Empirical Quality Control using both ElectroSpray Ionization Mass Spectrometry and 10% Urea Gel dPAGE sequence-verification analysis. The award will be Firm Fixed Price under FAR 6.103-1 (Revolutionary Federal Acquisition Regulation Overhaul). Though not a request for competitive quotations, any responses demonstrating capability to provide equivalent aptamers will be reviewed if submitted to Contract Specialist Sammy Solo and Contracting Officer Nicholas Granata Jr. by September 1, 2026, 12:00 pm EST — seven days from notice issuance. Aptagen is located in Jacobus, Pennsylvania (CAGE Code 436H7).
