About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Medical Command has issued a Special Notice for a bridge contract to support urinalysis testing at two U.S. Army Medical Department Activity (MEDDAC) locations in Maryland. Specifically, the notice covers clinical urinalysis analyzers with Laboratory Information System (LIS) connectivity and equipment maintenance for facilities at Fort George G. Meade and Aberdeen Proving Grounds. The contract opportunity is identified by the Federal Contract Opportunity ID ad3daaa262d1415b917f1fdbb69c523b and was posted on March 20, 2025, with a response deadline of March 24, 2025. The notice falls under the Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing NAICS category and Laboratory Equipment and Supplies PSC category. No specific set-aside has been designated for this contract opportunity.
The primary objective of this bridge contract is to ensure continued service of clinical urinalysis analyzers while providing time to solicit, award, and implement a long-term contract. The contract will commence on April 1, 2025, and requires contractor-owned equipment, along with supplies and reagents for conducting tests. The government will pay for reagents and supplies, which comprehensively include personnel, equipment, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, training, and all necessary services for operating urinalysis analyzers. Contractors should note that the contract covers two specific MEDDAC locations and involves providing both equipment and associated testing support. Eligibility appears open to vendors capable of providing comprehensive urinalysis testing solutions, with no explicit restrictions mentioned in the notice. The bridge contract represents a strategic approach to maintaining critical medical testing capabilities while preparing for a more comprehensive long-term contracting solution.
