About this opportunity
The Department of State US Embassy Cotonou has published a Special Notice for a sole source extension of cell phone services for a 6-month period. The current provider, Spacetel Benin S.A., has been providing these services since August 2022, and the Embassy requires an extension due to challenges in registering new vendors and cybersecurity concerns. The Embassy needs more time to properly solicit a new 1-year base contract with 4 option years for these services.
The purpose of this Notice is to announce the Government's intent to award a sole source extension to Spacetel Benin S.A. under NAICS code 517112 for wireless telecommunications services. The estimated period of performance is six months, from November 13, 2024 to May 12, 2025. While this is a sole source requirement, the Embassy will publish a notice of intent and consider capability statements, proposals, or quotes from any responsible sources that may be submitted. The Contracting Officer has determined the pricing from the current vendor is fair and reasonable.
